Dit is een pure Total Annihilation rip-off. Bijna alle units zijn gewoon zo overgenomen uit dit (zeer goede) spel van het ondertussen ter ziele gegane Cavedog.
Een van de weinige spelen die ik ooit gekocht heb. Ook 1 van de 1ste waar de units echt 3d waren. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_Annihilation
TA-Spring developers don’t hide the fact that it’s based on TA. They did change the name to simply Spring, but on the front page they state: “TA Spring is a project aiming to create a new RTS. The current goal is to make it run content from the game Total Annihilation.”
I believe they are making an RTS framework and are using TA as a use case because they believe TA is a very good test subject.
You can see that is was one of their goals to emulate TA but by now these goals seem to be a bit outdated as someone indicates, probably because it is much broader by now.
