It’s interesting to see what kind of public side information the google maps initiative can provide. Who knows what else you can discover on this satellite data besides crop circles.. 🙂 I tried a search on google maps for crop circles, but it seems they don’t index this. 😉

Open source movie
You probably heard already about the open source beer, music, graphics cards etc, but did you hear about this open source (short) movie yet? 🙂 When it’s released, I’d certainly like to take a look at those models and animation scripts! As the URL already hints, this movie will be entirely animated using Blender. In general, it is made with open source tools only. Really a wonderful initiative!
For Dutch reading people, there is also a very interesting article on a Dutch tech life style magazine site.

In his rap against MC++:

I’m an unsigned long int and you’re an 8-bit char.

The hurricane relief paypal account story
Quite an interesting story 🙂
To temporarily get SA up, I bought some crappy hosting on a Dreamhost plan, which had an absolutely painfully idiotic name like “THE ULTRA SUPER AWESOMNATOR INSANITY WEBHOSTING MEGAPLAN 2000.” It made me feel intensely embarrassed, but sometimes we have to sacrifice our humility in times of crisis, not that I had any pride to begin with.
